Alpha4 build for people facing install problems in WINDOWS
Just please write a comment or two, so I will know if this worked. Btw, this should work in win98 (with correct graphic card driver installation). I added w9xopen.exe and python25.dll to make things win98 compatible.
I still have problems installing the mac version: the install procedure is straightforward and the installer tell me everything went right, but I can't find the application, nor in the app folder, nor elsewhere on the disk.. Anyother facing the same problem?
The win98 loaded on a old P2 with 256 MRAM that I use for scanning, but...I keep getting a 'Color 000' Not a Clickable zone' when I try to use the widgets like Gender or Age. It still does a quick export, however.
@Enrico: Unfortunately, this download only tackles windows issue.
@Zinc: Yes I have noticed the same problem, I originally thought this to be a problem with the graphic card driver. Do you have an nvidia driver for your win98 machine?
Mattieu: By mistake, the mhx importer was located in a folder that was not included in A4 release. It can be downloaded from http://code.google.com/p/makehuman/source/browse/#svn/trunk/makehuman/importers/mhx/blender249
@Zinc: I will keep that in mind. Currently Manuel (the boss) wants me to concentrate on hairs and as we continue updating the software once the stable release is there hopefully makehuman will run better correctly in win9x. One thing though, ATI Rage Pro does have some issues with OpenGL (maybe not with DirectX). We will be working hard and hopefully there will be a fix in the stable release.
Since Marc's video card broke.. he is now working hard on 16-bit support (thats the theory why it didnt work for our win9x). I'll have more to tell soon :D

I don't find the mhx script! It is no import file ! Only an export with the model in mhx I want to import in blender!
ReplyDeleteHello Jose....It's a Compaq Presario with an integrated AGP motherboard chip, an ATI Rage Pro. Our organization's flagship computer, circa 1998!
