  3. I tried the release on Win7 64-bit, and noticed the following problems:

    1. Export does not work if MH is installed at the default location, due to lack of write permissions. No problems if I install it in my home directory.

    2. The utils folder is not included in the release, and hence not the mhx importer which is located in a subfolder.

    3. The mhx importer (from svn trunk) looks for the non-existing files texture2.png and bump5.png. This is my problem, and easy to fix.

    4. FK/IK switch has stopped working for no apparent reason. This too is my problem, but perhaps not so easy to fix.

    5. You cannot adjust gender in the details section anymore. This makes it much harder to make good-looking boobs :-(

    And BTW, Happy New Year!

  4. About (1). I've no idea about how to fix it...

About (2). We should think about a special folder for it, or a subfolder in the plugins directory...It's not just an utility :-) We will do a bugfix version for it.

About (3). Why not use the standard texture.tif? Anyway I'm thinking about to use a different repository (not svn) for these big files. In future we will need to add a lot of them. Maybe use the artists site to store them is a good solution...we will see..

About (4). Maybe a Blender 2.5 alpha issue?

About (5). We will add a special slider for some gender details :-P

Happy New Year to you too!

  5. hello
    nice job, as always...
I have a pbl, I export as .obj, and when I import in a 3d solution (ex.xsi) the mesh is broke in small parts..Is there is something that I miss? as with the last release I was not having this pbl.
    Thx

  6. Alpha4 export facegroups too. Probably there is an option in XSI obj importer that import facegroups as separate pieces...you should find it and disable it. Keep me informed...

    Best,

    Manuel

  8. Hi, for the Mac Edition the installer package needs to be rebuilded. The .app-Folder couldn't be re-located, because there is a "/" missing at the beginning of the path.

    Thank you!

  9. Thanks Dayang,
Peter has already updated the package.

  10. Hi,
I have to say that alpha 4 is a great release.
But unfortunately, i noticed some glitches:
When the character is very skinny, there are some artifacts or something in the air near to its feet. And there are also grey "things" sticking out of its body.

  11. It is a Alpha and therefor rather okay, but I still miss lots of controllers and functions. But No1 on my wish-list is a Blender exporter, and No2 is a option for casual (and very simple) bump map and texture clothing so it is possible to export figure so they not look nude when I import them.

I am a bit silly and shy :-)

    Great work.

  12. I'm assuming that a bit of work still needs to be done with the Blender exporter? When I import MHX files into blender, the model is facing the wrong way and the FK/IK constraints thingy seems to no longer be working.

Thanks for all the hard work

  13. If the Rot90 button is pressed, everything is rotated 90 degrees to have Z up.

The FK/IK switch stopped working, and I don't understand why. In the lastest svn revision (rev 555), I replaced it by two buttons to make the FK/IK choice at load time. Not so elegant, but at least it works. You can still do an FK/IK switch dynamically, but you have to set influence keys manually for the copy rotation constraints on Up/Lo Arm/Leg _L/_R.

  14. The (TAR BZipped) binaries are ok (because the 'models' and 'export' directories are in the same directory -of which i have read/write permits- as the makehuman executable), but from the installed package (ubuntu 9.04 deb file), when i try to export, or save a model the path where to save the files it's not within my home directory, so i don't have read/write permits, and i can't save or export the models
It'd be possible to configure the desired path?
thanks for your great piece of software...
