DDOS against build servers

Just a head's up that tomorrow's nightly builds for linux and windows might be delayed or missing. Right now the server hotel I host my build machines on is under a DDOS attack (directed at the hotel as such, not at my servers). I can't even reach the machines right now, and (hardly surprising) there seems to be no ETA for when they can manage to fend off the attack.

The MaxOSX nightly build won't be affected, since it is built on Hans-Peter Dusel's machines and not mine.

  1. Hello JoePal...

It's 8:36 a.m. in Saskatchewan Canada, and I'm downloading the latest Linux i386 build at normal speeds. The DDOS must be fixed. If you really want to read something interesting about DDOS, google 'Dorkslayers' and see how they went down.

  2. Heya. The hosting of the final builds is separate from the build servers: I build stuff on three different machines, and then have them uploading stuff to tuxfamily.

But I'm able to access the build machines too now, so I guess the server hotel was able to get through the worst of it now.

  3. Quick question, sorry it's a bit off topic:
I noticed in the roadmap that a few tasks were listed as already 100% done that are intended for releases after alpha 5, such as "Exporting an armature file", and "Genital morphs". Since these features are already finished, will they be rolled with alpha5? Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work!

  4. I think you'll get a better answer if you ask on the forums :)
