The advantage of having a hair produced for makehuman is great. Because once you produce the hair, you can adjust your figures age, height, etc. and the hair that you just produced will be modified according to the new body you composed. So if you want to do hair modelling in blender and keep it that way, you will be forced to always modify it whenever your base figure has a different age, height, etc. Take this into consideration, you may also want to contribute some hairs to the makehuman community (we lack sufficient hair models to distribute freely).

No critique, but why are you starting a blog of your own? A successful blog requires a certain activity, which is difficult to maintain for a single person - even a group blog like this one would benefit from more activity.

I am using it because of the advantage and user-friendliness that wordpress has over blogger. I personally have no problem maintaining the blog.
