Today we announce the release of MakeHuman 1.0 alpha 5.1. This is an intermediate release which fixes many of the bugs which are still present in the 5.0 release but which have been fixed for a long time in the Nightly. This release is identical to a recent nightly build, and is primaraly done in order to reduce the amount of time spent on giving support for already fixed bugs. Some elements will therefore have rough edges and some will be under construction, but it is a big improvement compared to alpha 5

Aww man this is the first time the Blender .mhx import worked seamlessly for me. The rig came in perfectly and is fully functional.
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely beautiful. Amazing!
I can't wait to play with this further. Keep up all the magic make human team! :)
Deb/tgz for linux is e.t.a this weekend at the latest. Although I think they'll look pretty identical to the nightly builds at the moment.
ReplyDeleteCompliments to the development team!
ReplyDeleteThe new measurement's features will be very useful for me, an useful addiction would be a slider-indicator of the total height amount;
also very nice video-presentation!
Looking great! Is the new version going to include customizable background images so that we can match morphs to photos or drawings?
ReplyDeleteBackground image support has been available for a long time already. Left down is a background button which lets you browse for images in the makehuman/backgrounds folder. It's pretty basic for now.
