MakeHuman 1.0 alpha 5.1a: bugfix for non ASCII folders on Windows system.

Since there were several problems reported when using non ascii folders on windows systems, we have created a new build and a new installer for windows, 5.1a. As far as we know there are no problems on linux and Mac-OSX systems, so there won't be a package for these operating systems. We hope this build will fix most of the issues people had with the windows version.

Download: makehuman1-0-0_alpha5.1a for Windows

  1. Uninstalled prior non-saving MH from my Vista Ultimate on a Dell M6300. Installed alpha5.1a bugfix. But still cannot save anything. Get same error about ASCII as before. Sorry.

  2. I even dont have installed a previous version and can't safe/export with Vista

The only thing I got: new subdirectories in strange letters (for sample this one: ȸጦ굻ໝ/makehuman/export/test.obj [size 1kb])

  3. Oh no Dec 26th nightly build doesn't work on Win7 64 bit. I ran the nightly build of Dec 22nd and it worked fine. Something new in the compiling process I guess :(

  7. @Marc:

    Now it's working :)
The only thing I want to say is, that the files were exported (file type *.obj) with full filename to:
    "User"/documents/makehuman/exports
Which is not reported so far in all the threads I visit.

I've installed MH on [drive D]

    greetings
    Goodmann

  8. Before we were exporting to the program's folder. But since not all people are administrator, they didn't have write permissions there. So we moved all saves/exports/renders to the user folder.
