Aarushi

Well, Blender has Suzanne, Renderman has the teapot, others have the Stanford's happy Buddha...
We have Aarushi [*].

Modeled by me upon the makehuman standard female mesh, she will be used for all our rendering experiments.

[*] Aarushi is an indian name. It means: "first rays [of sun]". A perfect name for a subject of raytracing rendering. Thanks to Abhishek Gupta to suggest me the name.

  1. I'm probably going to get myself in trouble for suggesting this, but here goes. There is a real woman who looks like this, and she's a fine human being; her name is Zuzanna, and she is changing the world of fitness from http://www.bodyrock.tv. Okay, now for the trouble! We should consider inviting her and the rest of the BodyRockers (250,000 and counting!) to be part of the Makehuman experience. You may grab your rotten tomatoes now!

  2. Ehehe..well, the look is similar, it seem, but Aarushi body proportions are impossible for real humans :) And the face is totally different...

  3. Can you create the code such that Aarushi is generated by a single key-stroke, the same way Suzanne is? That would be great as an introduction to Makehuman.

  4. While I appreciate the "eye candy" effect of this choice, the fine arts training in me says there is work to be done. I find the head too small, relative to the rest of her proportions, which are already a push anatomically.
